It is located in a beautiful panoramic position on the Marmarole, a range of beautiful mountains, the Antelao and the Oltrepiave Dolomites. A support point along the Alta Via delle Dolomiti no. 5 for other pleasant excursions. Inside, there is an interesting collection of period photographs documenting the birth of the hut. The cuisine is simple but carefully prepared and genuine. A luggage transport service by cable car is available on request. It is open at weekends a few weeks before and after the summer season and in the winter season. Call for information.
From the village’s central square, continue left in the direction of Val d’Oten/Praciadelan for about 2 km, until you reach the Church of the Beata Vergine del Caravaggio. After the bridge, there is a fork where you can choose whether to ascend along CAI path no. 261 or CAI path no. 260.
CAI path no. 261. At the bridge, take the road to the right for Val Vedessana and continue by car for about 3 km on an asphalt road to the car park at La Stua. From here, the path maintains a regular gradient and reaches the hut in about 2.30 hours.
CAI path no. 260. At the bridge, turn left and continue for about 3 km on an asphalt road to the large car park in the locality of Praciadelan, where there is the restaurant-pizzeria La Pineta. Here you can decide whether to leave your car or continue for another kilometre on a dirt road to the Diassa stream and park before the stream crosses in a large car park. The path starts parallel to the stream. After short flat sections, it goes around the ridge and steeply into the forest. It takes about 2.30 hours to reach the hut.
