Snowkite at Passo Giau
An experience not to be missed for those who love adrenaline.
Passo Giau: one of the most spectacular places in Cadore, a landscape with unique characteristics and therefore chosen by internationally renowned directors for their films, a natural living room from which to enjoy amazing sunsets.
A territory that pulsates with history, nature and sport. In winter, Passo Giau hosts snowkiting, a sport that is increasingly spreading in Italy.
The sport combines skiing and snowboarding with kite, which in English means kite, and allows you to be dragged on the snow using the wind as the main pushing force. The slopes of Passo Giau, vast and uniform, are ideal for performing safe maneuvers and having fun. The kites that can be used are of two types, the Foil, made up of open and closed cells, or the Pump, inflatable which however are usually used for kiteboarding in water.
The activity takes place from December to April, when the weather conditions are favorable and by reservation. Minimum age required 15 years.
