The amphitheatre of dolomite cliffs that rise all around, dominated by the mighty Antelao and the enchanting Marmarole, is magnificent. A short distance away is the evocative Cascata delle Pile, which can be reached in a few minutes. The refuge has been managed since 1956 by the Vascellari family, who take care of the kitchen. The refuge is also open some weekends before and after the summer season (call for information).
