Derived from the renovation of a Casera, the atmosphere of an alpine pasture can still be perceived here; everything around it, from the benches near the hearth to the rustic terrace-belvedere, contributes to peace of mind. An ideal base for climbing and hiking on the Marmarole, it is a recommended stopover point along the Alta Via delle Dolomiti route no. 5. The refuge is also easily reached by car from Lozzo along the old military road (approx. 16 km); in the summer season it is open in alternating directions.
