The Ethnographic Museum of San Vito di Cadore houses a few thousand artefacts of the material culture of the area and aims to keep alive the memory of the artisan and peasant world of Cadore, with rich photographic evidence. Located in the hamlet of Resinego di Sotto, the museum allows visitors to admire the objects that represented the artisan and peasant world of the past, recalling the ancient crafts: carpentry, dairy, agriculture, cooking with “fogher”, and the activities of the fire brigade. There are also scale reproductions of a wooden bridge and a water mill. Cesarino, the owner, will passionately explain to you what work and daily life were like in the past.
