Great exposure to the sun and gentle slopes characterise Pozzale, a small village in the municipality of Pieve di Cadore. Gente di montagna (Mountain people) aims to enhance the mountains, first and foremost those of Cadore, but not only. Through a journey of images of people living in the mountains, crossing cultures from all over the world, the project aims to tell the story of the links and interactions between people, the environment and the land in mountainous areas. The idea is to make mountain dwellers more aware of the meaning of the places where they live and push them to be active citizens who build future projects and new models of living, and to push tourists to become, in turn, responsible and supportive citizens and not mere consumers, in a mutual exchange of cultures and knowledge. The itinerary, which winds its way through the streets of Pozzale, now presents 101 pictures printed and displayed on the walls of the houses in different formats and collected by the families of the village and by friends and acquaintances from other countries of the world. The photographs on display come not only from Cadore, but also from Lombardy, Friuli, Piedmont, Emilia-Romagna, Spain, Iran, North Vietnam and Nepal. More will be added to these in the future.
